Promoting Healthy Vision: Eye Care Camp for Grades 10–12
A. M. Jain School organised a special Eye Care Camp and Workshop for students of Grades 10, 11, and 12, with the goal of spreading awareness about healthy vision and preventive eye care.
The programme was conducted by Lawrence & Mayo, a reputed organisation known for its expertise in eye health.
The session began with an informative and engaging workshop where students learned about the importance of maintaining good vision, preventing eye strain, practising healthy screen habits, and recognising early signs of eye-related issues.
The resource team explained how regular eye check-ups and mindful lifestyle choices can greatly impact long-term vision health.
Following the workshop, a free eye-screening camp was organised for all students. Professional optometrists examined each student individually and offered personalised guidance to support healthy eyesight.
Students also had the opportunity to clarify doubts, understand their eye power, and learn about ways to protect their vision in daily life.
The initiative was highly beneficial and encouraged students to prioritise their eye health—an important aspect, especially for senior classes with increased academic demands.
