An unforgettable educational journey into India's rich cultural past
Students of Agurchand Manmull Jain School’s Heritage & Literary Club embarked on a captivating and immersive field trip to Uthiramerur, a historic town steeped in ancient Indian traditions, democracy, and architecture.
🏛️ Trip Highlights:
Vaikuntha Perumal Temple and Bala Subramanian Murugan Temple – marveling at architectural brilliance and spiritual significance
Kudavolai Inscriptions – decoding ancient scripts and gaining firsthand insight into democratic practices from as early as 920 CE
Election Reenactment – students reenacted one of the world's oldest democratic election systems
Tirumalai Vaidya Prasanna Venkatesh Perumal Temple – a visual treat of South Indian temple architecture
This journey was not only educational but transformative, instilling pride in India's glorious past and inspiring a deep-rooted curiosity among our learners.
