Tree Plantation Drive – 19.02.2025

In an effort to promote environmental awareness and sustainability, AMJS organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 19th February 2025. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility in students and encourage them to actively contribute to a greener future.

Renowned green activist Mr. Pasumai Murthy graced the event, inspiring students with his mission to spread awareness about the importance of tree plantations. He, along with students and teachers, planted 25 trees across the school garden and AM Jain ITI ground. The plant species included Indian Beach Tree (Pungam Tree), Neem Tree, Spanish Cherry (Maghizham), and Indian Tulip Tree (Puvarasam), all chosen for their ecological and medicinal benefits.

A total of 243 students from Class 8, along with teachers, actively participated in this meaningful initiative. The drive was a resounding success, fostering a deep sense of community, responsibility, and commitment towards preserving nature. Events like these serve as a powerful reminder that every small step contributes to a healthier planet.
